INNOVATION IN OUR DNA

Since 1980, CLASSPACK has been a pioneer in developing innovative flexible packaging solutions designed to optimize raw material consumption and simplify the work of fruit and vegetable packers.

One of our most renowned innovations is the Continuous Tubular Preformed Bag — a hybrid bag produced either in continuous rolls for automatic packaging or cut and sealed for manual packaging, featuring two printable film sides for large product display areas and two gussets made of mesh or film, pre-folded and ready to fill.

Between 2009 and 2015, we expanded this project by developing a dedicated packaging machine specifically designed for this consumable, followed by a multi-head associative weigher and all the necessary peripherals to offer our customers a "Complete Packaging Solution." Our machinery consumes 66% less energy, generates 80% less noise, and uses 90% less compressed air compared to traditional systems.

In mid-2016, once again staying ahead of the market, CLASSPACK patented a groundbreaking lamination technology using paper and other alternative materials, initially reducing and ultimately eliminating plastic components. The growing consumer demand for eco-friendly packaging has driven retailers and distribution platforms to seek sustainable alternatives to conventional plastics.

At Fruit Attraction 2021, CLASSPACK proudly introduced the BIO SALAD ROLL for IV Range products, winning First Prize at the Innovation Hub Awards. During the same event, we unveiled a brand-new line of 100% biobased bags, fully eliminating plastic components and fully complying with the latest European regulations on single-use packaging.

These revolutionary bags combine PLA films with KRAFT paper for MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) applications, significantly extending shelf life, improving product rotations, and enabling access to more distant markets. For non-MAP uses, with MACRO or MICRO perforations, they deliver outstanding performance.

As the deadline for the new European regulations on single-use plastics approaches, CLASSPACK stands as the only company exclusively using 100% biobased, fossil-free materials — offering compostable, biodegradable, and truly eco-friendly packaging solutions, ready to meet the future today.

Thanks to the efforts of its Commercial and Technical teams, and its deep understanding of the market, CLASSPACK has been repeatedly selected as a finalist at the FRUIT ATTRACTION INNOVATION HUB at IFEMA (Madrid) since 2018.
In 2021, CLASSPACK won First Prize in its category with its groundbreaking BIO SALAD ROLL — a product that is now proudly featured on the shelves of major supermarket chains across Europe.
